Cloud Computing

Cloud computing is probably the hottest topic in IT today, but what is it and what can it do for your business?

Cloud computing builds on recent virtualisation technologies by utilising the internet as a carrier to access computer systems which are based on 'server farms' rather than (or as well as) having physical servers in your office.

You can then choose what applications you want to access using your cloud, this is known as Software as a Service (or SaaS).

ByteIT offer several SaaS solutions such as hosted junk mail filtering, anti virus or email recovery and continuity services.
Our SaaS solutions offer several advantages over traditional "on premises" solutions:

There is no hardware or software to install, configure or setup. As soon as you order your solution it is ready to go.

Zero capital expense and lower total cost of ownership.

Zero hour real time solution - all updates are applied and managed by ByteIT or our SaaS partners.

SLA with 99.99% uptime

Scalability - You can add or remove users and applications as your business requires.

Give ByteIT a call on 0845 643 9998 to discuss your needs or to setup a free 30 day trial of one of our services.

April 2010 update

ByteIT has been established for nearly twelve months now and we are going from strength to strength with the values that we have always adhered to, Honesty, Integrity, Quality of Service and Value for Money.
I would like to announce a number of plans for the future starting with additional staff. Some of you may remember Heather Eccles, an engineer with whom I worked with at Bytebak, she is joining ByteIT in April. There are additional staff planned in the months to follow and we are currently looking into new premises. We also hope to implement a service support desk with a dedicated number for customers on a maintenance contract with us. If you already have a contract with ByteIT then thank you for your custom and I can assure you that it is appreciated.
If you do not have a contract with us and you would like to know more about our support levels and the costs involved then please do not hesitate to contact me. The contracts are designed to provide you with the level of support you require to a degree that does not have an adverse effect on your business. After all, customers and potential customers are our future growth potential and customer satisfaction ranks highest in our endeavours.
You can visit our website at www.byteit-computers.co.uk to have a look at a selection of testimonials provided by some of our clients.
As you can see these are exciting times as we grow in size, and with the experience we have I hope this demonstrates to you that we are still able to satisfy the commitments we have already undertaken whilst being in a position to accept new undertakings without compromising our business values that have kept us high on the service league throughout Cumbria and South West Scotland for both large and small businesses as well as educational establishments.
